So I’m sitting on my floor in my university dorm room, procrastinating as per usual when I thought “Wow, I haven’t paid any attention to dA in a very, very long time.” So this is me paying attention to it.
I guess a mini update is a good way to start.

- I’m in university at Queen’s University in Kingston ON, first year Concurrent Education

- I have two other roommates, both with their positive and negative aspects, but good people overall

- I’ve made several new university friends, most of whom I will be living with next year in a house in the student ghetto surrounding Queen’s

- My family just visited me yesterday, and I showed them around where I live and go to school. I think they enjoyed themselves; I took them to Princess St. (basically the center of all things interesting to do in my immediate area) and my parents were particularly impressed with a specialty tea shop while my brothers were more so enamoured with the nerdy videogame and manga store. We ended with dinner at the Copper Penny, which is a great but mildly expensive restaurant on Princess St, if anyone ever visits. Then they went home and I was alone with my university floor family again.

- I attempted Century Club yesterday, and would have probably finished except after ten shots I realized a few things. 1) I hate beer, it tastes like bile. And 2) I really hate feeling like crap and having to put together the pieces of how I spent my night embarrassing myself the next day. So I opted to take care of my drunken roomie and friend who completed Century Club instead.

- Oh, and I made a new friend out of my neighbour Jake by giving him an opened beer that I didn’t want to drink. Apparently it made his weekend.

- My mom called me this morning, as she usually does when she knows that I’m going to be doing something potentially dangerous and stupid the night before, to make sure I’m alive, and more importantly, she told me that we’re going to see Jersey Boys in December when I come home, because apparently there’s some ridiculous promotion on right now where she can get 12th row seats for $60 rather than $250.

And that’s about everything that’s important right now, aside from the fact that I get to go home next week as well to see my family and =ultimate-chaos12 when we’re going to a concert in T.O on the Sunday of that weekend.
